Which fluid ounce system is my recipe in?

If the recipe is from a US source (American cookbook, US food website), use US fluid ounces (1 fl oz = 29.57 ml). If the recipe is from a UK source (British cookbook, UK food website), use UK imperial fluid ounces (1 fl oz = 28.41 ml). The difference is small (about 4%) and rarely matters in cooking. For baking precision, millilitres or grams are the most reliable. Australian recipes use metric exclusively: millilitres and grams rather than fluid ounces.
